Sorry, but I have no idea... I used Fedora Core 4, when installing new
glib... I simply downloaded RPM and ran it. It updated to the newer
version w/o problem.
Hi, sorry for stupid question but I can't solve this problem...
I'm trying to install glibc as needed by MySql but when I try to configure he said me I have to configure it in a separate build directory. Source code is on glibc-2.3... dir and I create a new glibc-build directory. I've tried to launch
./configure --prefix=/opt/glibc-build
but nothing.
Where is the mistake?

you mean missing libraries? that's normal... just download missing
library RPM's.. might take long though :(... Last time I tried
installing some small program on Fedora, i has to search up 20 or so
libraries before I could actually finish installation.

I guess, MySQL server has to be installed, because SER will use a
default MySQL database to store accound info... anyway, your error
clearly shows, that SER needs MySQL server running... I suggest
installing 4.1...
