hi,
I'm new to SER. I downloaded SER0.9.6 source to my local Fedora Core 5. I run make all and make prefix=/ install, and then set SIPDOMAIN, and run ser. However it didn't respond with incomging Registration(it showed incoming Registration from Ethereal). (I used default ser.cfg). Can anybody tell me what's the problem, or how to debug?
Thanks so much! Henry
Hello Henry. You can always check the iptel.org site for documentation.... I recommend you the onsip tutorial to start. If you want to debug you need to set the debug level to 9 and restart ser.
debug=3 fork=no log_stderror=yes
Good luck! Ricardo Martinez.-

Hi,
I think it your firewall. I am having this problem with FC5 now and I had this problem with Asterisk on FC5 as well. Disabling firewall helped a lot. Give it a try.
Andrey.
