How do I test connectivity of a SIP address? Is there a "time" or
"echo" type SIP address to call or message?
I'm just using a free address from onsip.com

Hello,
Search for "SIP OPTIONS" requests, they are used e.g. for NAT pinging, server
keep-alive and the like.

I think the OP might have been asking about the "how", above and beyond
the "what":
$ sipsak -T -s sip:s@sip.evaristesys.com
