Hi list,
I checked the OpenSER core cookbook, but I am unsure how to
handle the "received" and "rport" parameters in the "Via"
header. Is it used automatically ?
For now, I am using the registrar module to save the location,
but I think I can get rid of it and simply use the above
parameters.

Yes.
For now, I am using the registrar module to save the

No. The Via-Header in requests is used to define the path for routing
back the replies. The registrar module (in combination with usrloc) is
used to find the contact of a registered UAC to be able to route new
requests to a client.
