Hi,
I just came across http://www.golem.de/0602/43572.html (sorry, German). It states that AVM contributed GPL'ed source code to OpenSER, which allows an UAC to send QoS measurement samples to the SIP proxy after finishing a call. The goal is to have steady QoS monitoring without changing or extending the network topology.
Are these extensions somewhere in CVS or isn't it intended to be released to the public?
Andy

I am not aware of such extensions. Maybe they were using some scripting to record the details (via acc or avp_db_query(), ...)

Hello Alte,
yes, it was for SER long time ago (do not know if it made it finally), in OpenSER was included in the first version. It is extra accounting (log,db,radius_extra).

I see. So it's basically just a header (X-RTP-Stat) sent by the UAC in BYE, which is written to acc. I found the corresponding paper to that "feature", see http://www.avm.de/de/Presse/Informationen/2005/pdf/Iptelorg_QoS-Spec.pdf

Yea,, Sipura does the same :)

Also Cisco phones send statistics in BYE/200OK, e.g.
RTP-RxStat: Dur=3,Pkt=139,Oct=22240,LatePkt=0,LostPkt=0,AvgJit=5. RTP-TxStat: Dur=3,Pkt=180,Oct=28800.
Does anybody know if I can activate this feature also on the Cisco Gateways?
thanks klaus

But they all look different from vendor to vendor...
