I think they are using rtpproxy - but I don't know which version.

They wont post their current configuration file, nevertheless you can find old ones in the cvs.
Try to build your own cfg and use the snippets from the mailing list (there are also complete ser.cfg in the mailing list, but never consider them as complete but only as a hint how to do things). If you have problems, ask on the mailinglist for advice (exact questions - exact answers) :-)
If you want a running configuration file fitted to your needs, ask for commercial support (->iptel.org)

Hi,
Has anybody successfully installed and implemented mediaproxy for NAT penetration with SER?
Tjapko.

Thanks, Since I am new with SER and SIP I wondered what NAT penetration module to choose and obviously selected the least convenient one. Nevertheless it took me some time but it seems to work now. The question that raised with me is, IS it opensource and supported this way or more a "project based" development tool that is for a selected public only? I don't want to be critical at all it is just that I am unfamiliar with this kind of semi commercializing a product on a opensource mailinglist. If I want support I obviously will have to pay for it. Maybe I am absolutely wrong? Tjapko.

It is open source and it is distributed under the terms of the GPL. Anything you can find in the CVS is under GPL and opensource. That's the policy for accepting code into the main source tree. Also authors of the code should respond to questions regarding their code on this list.
Regarding support, it is in the terms of GPL that the code comes with no warranty. That means, if you have a problem or need some advice, you can ask on this mailing list. If you get no anwer or the answer is not sufficient, then you can ask for commercial support.

Thanks for your answer. I figured it out by myself. The problem was the need of using domain.so. I have asked them a question directly and they are willing to help....for money.... because they state that everything they put on paper is clear enough to install mediaproxy yourself. For the rest no hard feelings. It is mainly my unexperience with this product but SER is working very well. Tjapko.
