and tell me why the call never reaches the failure_route.

Hi Ibrahim,
use xlog() to debug the script and to see if the t_on_failure() is
triggered.

There is already a xlog entry in the beginning of the failure route, and no
it doesn't reach it.
Any other ideas?

Ibrahim,
let's not rush - my suggestion was to place a xlog() when calling the
t_on_failure() function (and not inside the failure route) - this
function is the one that triggers (later) the failure route. So if this
is not executed, there will be no failure route.
