Serious problem here...
My openser.conf is configured to work with mysql. If I shut the mysql database down for even a few seconds, and restart it, OpenSER fails to reconnect. It is logging this via syslog:
Mar 6 13:23:13 apollo openser[16096]: submit_query: MySQL server has gone away Mar 6 13:23:13 apollo openser[16096]: db_query: Error while submitting query Mar 6 13:23:13 apollo openser[16096]: get_ha1(): Error while querying database
This seems like a pretty critical bug. Is it a known bug? Openser v1.0.0
Doug.
If you are using MySQL 5 or above, the problem you described seems to have been addressed and fixed (per the threads below):
http://openser.org/pipermail/devel/2006-January/001653.html http://openser.org/pipermail/devel/2006-January/001663.html
I have no idea if the fix has been backported to v1.0.0
If you are running MySQL 4 there is perhaps something else causing your problem.
