Dear List,
I’m looking at using Kamailio as SBC.
This would replace our current FreeSWITCH-based SBCs.
What are your thoughts on this move? Would there be any known reasons why Kamailio would be superior to FreeSWITCH as an SBC?

Kamailio can fulfil many SBC duties, but its not a 100% replacement for a FreeSwitch. Usually Kamailio is used together with a PBX like FreeSwitch or Asterisk in infrastructure.

Hi Unai,
you can take a look at sbcOS https://github.com/voiceboys/sbcOS and use only the kamailio/rtpengine config parts as inspiration or use the (a littlebit outdated) image.
Also you can combine kamailio + freeswitch (kamailio in front of a group of freeswitches) with dispatcher.
