Hi Experts,
I believe the loose_route() in kamailio can be used for initial Out of the dialog INVITE processing as well. Is that the correct understanding? If so, the request will be forwarded ahead to the destination corresponding to the Route Header remaining (if any) after Kamailio has stripped off it's own Address(es) from the Route Header(s). Is that correct?
Regards, Harneet Singh
Can anyone help here plz?

Hello,
yes, the loose_route() function can be also used on out of dialog requests, as described in the documentation: https://kamailio.org/docs/modules/5.5.x/modules/rr.html#rr.f.loose_route
It will work as described in RFC 3261, Section 16.12 (like forwarding it to the Route headers if not indicating the local proxy), yes.
Cheers,
Henning
